Housekeeper

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of the housekeeper is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations and to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

·Clean all assigned guestrooms.

·Clean all Common Areas DAILY.

·Stock room attendant’s cart and storage rooms DAILY.

·Strip and remake beds with fresh linen.

·Change mattress pads and blankets if needed.

·Empty wastebaskets and recycling.

·Wipe all window sills, walls and light switches.

·Vacuum rooms and hallways.

·Dust all furniture and fixtures.

·Make sure all lamps, fridges, microwaves, etc. are plugged into the right outlets.

·Checks drapes for missing hooks.

·Wipe mirrors and windows.

·Check heating/air conditioning unit for proper operation.

·Clean and sanitize bathroom including toilet, tub, shower walls, shower curtains, sink and fixtures, wash linoleum floors.

·Clean walls, baseboards and floor.

·Restock towels, wash cloths, soap, glasses and other supplies and amenities.

·Report any damages, things missing, items not permitted in guest rooms, evidence of smoking in room to management immediately.

·Perform other duties as appropriate.

·Monthly inventory of supplies, linens, etc.

·Middle Stairway

Qualifications:

·High school preferred.

·1-year applicable custodial experience.

·Demonstrated quality interpersonal communication skills.

·Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.

·Available to work flexible hours Monday - Friday as required (approximately 10 hours per week).

·Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
